Project Summary
The Municipality of Moncada has proven that forward-thinking and providing services to the people do not have to be mutually exclusive, in line with sustainability and the services provided to people. The adoption of solar energy in its primary facilities has enabled the LGU to reduce its reliance on conventional grid energy, while serving as a role model to the populace and other towns. The system offers a good electricity supply in the administrative offices or the general services, which facilitates the running of the day-to-day operations, reducing the overall cost of energy in the long run. This investment is more than just savings to the people of Moncada; it is a promise of clean, renewable energy, a promise of responsible governance. The project establishes Moncada as a leader of the LGUs in Central Luzon, and it demonstrates local government to be a leader in the use of commercial solar solutions.
