Servitek
- Car Maintenance Shop with Daylighting + PV
- System Size: 24.75 kWp
- Completion: 9-Jun-2022
- Tarlac City, Tarlac, Philippines
Project Summary
Servitek operates a busy automotive service workshop known for consistent vehicle care and high customer throughput. Daily operations rely on uninterrupted power for diagnostic equipment, tools, lighting, ventilation, and customer-facing areas, with most activity concentrated during daylight hours. This operating profile makes energy cost and reliability critical to maintaining efficient service delivery.
Solaren designed and installed a grid-tied solar power system explicitly engineered to absorb Servitek’s heavy daytime electrical loads. Solar generation offsets peak grid consumption during working hours, while net metering enables surplus energy produced on lighter operating days to be exported and credited, improving overall system economics without changing how the workshop operates.
The installation also complements the workshop’s natural daylighting concept, supporting a bright, efficient working environment for staff while reducing reliance on artificial lighting. System design, layout, and sizing were planned carefully from the outset to ensure long-term reliability and compliance with utility requirements.
This project reflects the principles described in commercial solar installation design for long-term reliability, demonstrating how properly engineered systems deliver consistent performance in demanding commercial environments.
