1st Mega Savers Cabanatuan
- Cabanatuan Appliance Store Rooftop System
- System Size: 63.36 kWp
- Completion: 5-Sep-2021
Project Summary
1st Mega Savers Cabanatuan is one of the brand’s busiest retail branches, operating a large showroom with extensive lighting, illuminated displays, and continuous air-conditioning throughout trading hours. The store opens in the morning and closes in the early evening, concentrating most electrical demand squarely within daylight hours.
Solaren designed and installed a rooftop solar system sized around this daytime load profile, allowing solar generation to offset peak-hour electricity consumption when the store is fully operational. Roof space presented some constraints, so careful system layout and component selection were used to maximise output within the available area while maintaining long-term reliability.
Because energy use aligns closely with solar production, net metering was a central part of the system design, enabling excess daytime generation to be exported to the grid and credited against later consumption. This improves overall system value without requiring batteries or changes to store operations.
The installation integrates seamlessly with the existing building and operates quietly in the background. As one of Solaren’s earlier projects for this customer, the system continues to perform reliably today, reinforcing a long-standing relationship built on consistency, performance, and trust.
