- Completion: 1-May-2014
- Tarlac City, Tarlac, Philippines
Project Summary
BHF Appliances is an established brand in the supply of appliances, having branches scattered all over the city centers and provincial centers across Northern Luzon. An early solar PV adopter. Their retail outlets have high daytime energy demands due to lighting, air conditioning, exhibition devices, and point-of-sale systems. Instead of focusing on branches individually, BHF partnered with Solaren in executing a synchronized installation of several stores to install solar panels. The different systems were modeled to suit the given rate of consumption and roof configuration of where each system was being installed, so that they would maintain the same level of performance and reliability. What has been achieved is a system of solar-powered stores that operate cleaner and at a lower cost without compromising customer experience. This multi-site strategy reduces the operational cost on a large scale and future-proofs the business. In the case of BHF Appliances, solar is not a one-site investment; it is a strategy at the board level to enhance the performance, to limit the exposure to the increased tariffs, and to secure the brand position of modern and cost-aware direction.
