BHF Appliances
- Appliance Retailer with Multi-Store Rollout
- System Size: 16.92 kWp
- Completion: 16-May-2013
- Guimba, Nueva Ecija, Philippines
Project Summary
BHF Appliances in Guimba became the first major retailer in the area to have solar energy sweep throughout its operations- a move that was a demonstration of confidence in renewable energy, besides a clear indication of long-run cost management. BHF has been working with Solaren to install grid-tied systems at some of its primary locations for several years before the widespread adoption of solar in the commercial space. The plan was easy to follow: to save on electricity costs during the day and still have the stores cool, bright, and functional. That early decision paid off. The systems have been maintained to deliver productively with minimum maintenance, and the savings are uniform throughout the branches. Solar is now integrated into the way BHF operates its business, not only a technical improvement, but an inbuilt benefit. In the case of the company, first was not merely an issue of image. It was about results. Introducing solar early has assisted BHF in forming a more creative, more resilient paradigm of appliance retailing in Northern Luzon.
