Balaong Banana Plantation Farm
- Off-grid solar powers remote Bulacan farm
- System Size: 10.20 kWp
- Completion: 20-Sep-2026
Project Summary
Balaong’s 10.2 kWp array, 10 kW Sunsynk inverter and 16 kWh battery serve the administration and farm management offices, including living accommodation, at this remote Bulacan property. The modest office load allowed Solaren to provide capacity beyond normal daily requirements without relying on a Meralco connection. The project illustrates where off-grid solar with battery storage fits: remote buildings whose power supply must be designed around their own generation, storage and expected consumption.
This smaller farm belongs to an existing Solaren customer with several hybrid and off-grid installations across other properties. Connecting the offices to Meralco would have required a long new feeder. Solaren instead installed a stand-alone supply focused on farm administration. Under the expected modest load, the system was designed to avoid frequent deep battery discharge and support operation for several days.
