Honda Cars Tarlac
- High-Consumption Automotive Dealership Operations
- System Size: 50.40 kWp
- Completion: 8-May-2026
Project Summary
Honda Tarlac is a full-format automotive dealership in Tarlac City, running a branded showroom, active service bays, parts department, and customer facilities throughout trading hours. The daytime load profile is consistent and substantial, which made solar a straightforward fit.
The installation challenge specific to any principal-branded dealership is working within visual and presentation standards set by the manufacturer. Rooftop layouts and equipment placement have to complement the facility, not fight it. The system was designed and installed around those constraints from the outset.
Inverter selection was deliberate. An SMA 110kW unit was specified well above the current system size, and that headroom is intentional. Honda is rolling out EV infrastructure requirements across its dealership network, and when Honda Tarlac adds charging stations, the inverter capacity is already there. No replacement, no major additional civils. The system was built for where this site is going.
For any commercial facility expecting its energy requirements to grow, early inverter sizing is one of the most cost-effective decisions available. The broader case for integrating solar generation with EV charging infrastructure is covered in our blog on fleet fuel savings and EVs from solar.
