J. Poon Realty Office
- Quezon City solar powers staff EVs
- System Size: 33.28 kWp
- Completion: 13-Aug-2024
Project Summary
J Poon Realty operates a busy office building in Quezon City, with a consumption pattern shaped almost entirely by daytime working hours. Lighting, cooling, elevators, and office equipment draw hardest through the middle of the day, exactly when a rooftop array generates most, which makes the site an efficient match for grid-tied solar.
Solaren designed the system to cover the bulk of that daytime demand and feed it into the building as it is used, cutting reliance on grid supply through the most expensive tariff hours. As with every Solaren project, a licensed electrical engineer supervised the work from design through commissioning, keeping quality and safety control with a single in-house team rather than handing stages to subcontractors.
The next step is EV charging for staff vehicles. Because charging can be scheduled into daylight hours, it adds a controllable load the rooftop system can serve directly, turning midday generation into fuel for the fleet rather than exported surplus. For J Poon Realty, it extends the value of the same installation without adding grid cost.
