King’s Court is a premium office development located in the heart of Makati’s financial district. The building operates in one of the most energy-intensive environments in the country, with continuous lighting, centralized air-conditioning, elevators, and extended operating hours serving a diverse group of corporate tenants.

The primary constraint on this project was physical space. Like many urban towers, the usable rooftop area was limited relative to the building’s total electrical demand. The objective was not to eliminate the grid, but to maximize every available square meter to produce a meaningful daytime offset.

The solution involved careful array layout planning, structural coordination, and full compliance with distribution utility requirements. The resulting grid-tied system now supplies a steady portion of daily demand, reducing peak exposure during high-tariff hours while contributing to operational stability. In dense commercial environments, solar must be engineered around real load behavior rather than theoretical capacity. While solar does not cover the entire tower load, it provides a consistent contribution day after day. In a financial district where reliability is essential, the installation has become part of the building’s operational backbone, quiet, predictable, and integrated into daily business life.
