Mazure Residence
- Premium Hybrid System for complete selp dependency
- System Size: 15.60 kWp
- Completion: 21-Jan-2026
- Tagudin, Ilocos Sur, Philippines
Project Summary
Tagudin, Ilocos Sur is as far from grid reliability as Central Luzon gets. For the Mazure residence, erratic supply and extended outages are a lived reality, not an occasional inconvenience. A standard grid-tied system was never the right answer here. The brief was energy autonomy, the entire home running uninterrupted for up to three consecutive days without grid input.
System design started with a full load profile: air conditioning, kitchen appliances, water pumps, lighting, communications, and essential circuits. Battery capacity and inverter configuration were engineered around that profile, with seamless transition during grid failure and no voltage drop or restart delay on critical loads. Sunsynk hybrid inverter and battery technology was selected for its proven track record in off-grid and weak-grid environments across Africa and the UK, conditions that map directly onto remote Northern Luzon. LONGi back-contact modules were specified for their efficiency and thermal performance, maximising output from the available roof area.
At 15.60 kWp the system generates 23,010 kWh annually against a peak load of 13.26 kW. Payback sits at the premium end, reflecting the storage component, with lifetime savings projected accordingly.
For households in remote locations where grid dependency is not a viable option, energy storage solutions designed around three-day autonomy deliver something a grid-tied system simply cannot, certainty.
