Rivera Residence
- Largest Residential Battery Retrofit for Energy Independence
- System Size: 46.80 kWp
- Completion: 1-Jul-2026
- Concepcion, Tarlac, Philippines
Project Summary
Rivera Residence’s retrofit retained the original SMA solar equipment while adding generation, three Sunsynk 16 kW hybrid inverters and 250 kWh of battery storage. The resulting 46.8 kWp system serves the Concepcion compound with stored energy available for overnight use and outages, while retaining the grid as a fallback. Solaren’s discussion of inverter compatibility for existing solar and new storage explains the approach behind this project: build around equipment that remains useful rather than replace the whole installation.
New LONGi modules extended generation alongside the original SMA array. The retrofit serves the main house and wider compound in Concepcion, Tarlac, with the existing generation equipment retained through AC coupling into the Sunsynk system.
