RYECO Building
- Owner-Operated Building With Admin Offices
- System Size: 17.08 kWp
- Completion: 30-Jun-2025
Project Summary
The RYECO building in Tarlac City houses the full operation of a local business across two levels, commercial activity on the ground floor and the owner’s administrative offices above, running computers, cooling, lighting, and management systems throughout the working day. The electricity demand is steady and predictable, which made it a strong candidate for solar. The owner wanted more than daytime offset.
The system was specified around a Sunsynk 16K hybrid inverter with battery storage, a deliberate choice for a building where the owner’s own operations are running and continuity matters. The hybrid architecture means the building is not purely dependent on solar generation or grid availability during business hours. Battery capacity covers the gap between generation and demand, and provides backup when the grid is unavailable. Sunova Solar bifacial modules on the rooftop feed a system monitored continuously through Sunsynk Connect.
At 17.08 kWp the system generates 25,193 kWh annually against a peak load of 14.52 kW, delivering PHP 277,123 in savings per year against a 3.5-year payback. Lifetime savings are projected at PHP 7.1 million.
For owner-operators who want both cost reduction and continuity, commercial solar installation with a hybrid specification delivers what a pure grid-tied system cannot.
