YSV Feed Mill Phase 1
- Commercial / Agricultural Solar Installation - Feed mill
- System Size: 99.90 kWp
- Completion: 1-Nov-2025
- Sta Ignacia, Tarlac, Philippines
Project Summary
Feed mill operations are among the most electrically demanding in agribusiness. Heavy machinery, continuous processing lines, packaging equipment, and storage systems run across long operational hours, and the load profile is erratic rather than steady, creating power quality challenges that go beyond simple consumption.
At YSV Feed Mill in Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac, Solaren’s scope went further than solar installation. Capacitor banks and harmonic filters were engineered into the solution, improving power factor and power quality across the facility. That work alone delivered measurable savings on top of the solar generation, and brought the electrical infrastructure up to the standard a facility of this scale requires.
The 99.90kWp Phase 1 system was deliberately sized to optimise ROI and secure net metering approval ahead of further expansion. The roof has significant remaining capacity, and additional phases are planned as the operation grows.
For large agricultural processing facilities with complex electrical environments, industrial solar power systems deliver the most value when the contractor understands the full electrical picture, not just the panels on the roof.
