Buena Chix Farm
- Integrated poultry farm with high energy demand
- System Size: 99.90 kWp
- Completion: 13-Mar-2026
Project Summary
Buena Chix Farm in Banaba, Tarlac City operates a fully integrated poultry and hatchery facility where the electrical brief is more demanding than a standard broiler operation. Incubation chambers run heating elements on tightly controlled schedules. Broiler housing, layer systems, and automated feeding lines draw continuous power. Mechanical ventilation regulates temperature and humidity across multiple production areas simultaneously. Peak demand sits at 84.84 kW and the load is concentrated precisely during daytime hours.
Hatchery infrastructure adds a layer of sensitivity that standard farm installations do not face. Voltage fluctuation and transient instability can directly affect incubation outcomes. Inverter configuration and phase balancing were engineered to prioritise electrical consistency as well as financial return, generation quality mattered as much as generation volume in the design brief.
System sizing was based on measured daytime load curves rather than available roof area. SMA Germany STP110-60 CORE2 inverters and Sunova Solar bifacial modules were specified for agricultural durability, with SMA ennexOS providing continuous monitoring across the array. Annual generation of 147,352 kWh delivers PHP 1.62 million in savings per year against a 2.9-year payback. Lifetime savings are projected at PHP 41.8 million.
For integrated poultry and hatchery operations, industrial solar power systems designed around production-critical load sensitivity deliver results that a generic farm installation cannot match.
