Atlantic Grains

Project Summary

Atlantic Grains is the biggest grain-importing, processing, storage, and distribution plant in the Philippines, and it is the core element of the country’s food supply chain. It has an enormous scope of operation with massive silos, conveyors, drying systems, and storage facilities that run day in and day out to satisfy the demand. These facilities also use a lot of power and energy, which can be considered one of the greatest recurrent expenses. Solaren engineered and installed a grid-tied solar system based on the specifics of the Atlantic Grains’ needs, developed and deployed a solar system that is both economically controlled and contributes to the sustainability of the company. The installation supports essential activities during the day, such as processing lines, warehouse surroundings, and adherence to strict utility and safety standards. To the management, the system proves to be more than savings; it provides predictable operating costs and results in resilience in the supply chains. It gives an example of how agribusiness on a broad scale in the Philippines can use renewable energy without affecting its productivity.
