Eumann Dressing Plant
- Cold Storage & Food Processing Facility
- System Size: 99.76 kWp
- Completion: 19-Dec-2024
- Rosales, Pangasinan, Philippines
Project Summary
The Eumann Dressing Plant in Rosales, Pangasinan runs a demanding load profile around the clock. Chicken processing, cold storage for local traders and distributors, and refrigeration that cannot be interrupted, regardless of what the grid or the electricity bill is doing. It is the kind of site where energy cost is a direct input into the price of every product leaving the facility.
The installation challenge here was the roof. A dressing plant and cold storage complex accumulates a mix of structures, orientations, and obstructions that do not lend themselves to clean string design. Solaren’s engineers mapped each roof section individually, grouping strings by tilt and azimuth to protect yield across the array and avoid the mismatch losses that poorly planned strings on complex rooflines produce at scale. The 99.76 kWp system was configured around what the roofs actually offered, not an idealised layout.
The result is a system generating over 147,000 kWh annually, delivering ₱1.6 million in yearly savings on a 3.5-year payback, with cold rooms, processing lines, and market supply running exactly as they should.
For food processing and cold storage facilities, commercial solar panels in the Philippines need to be designed around the operational reality of the site, including its roofs.
