Goodno Residence

Project Summary

Laur, Nueva Ecija sits well outside the reliable grid corridors of Central Luzon. For the Goodno residence, that reality was not an abstract concern, the household has medical equipment that cannot tolerate an unplanned outage. The system had to be designed around that requirement first, with energy cost savings as a secondary benefit.

The 12.80 kWp array is built around a Sunsynk 16K hybrid inverter, chosen specifically for its battery-ready architecture. The system is fully configured to accept battery storage without any additional inverter work,  when the decision is made to add batteries, the installation is already prepared. In the meantime the Sunsynk 16K manages solar generation, grid interaction, and load prioritisation across the home, with Sunsynk Connect providing continuous remote monitoring.

Sunova Solar bifacial modules were selected for their output performance under the variable sky conditions typical of interior Nueva Ecija. Annual generation runs at 18,880 kWh against a peak load of 10.88 kW, with a 4.2-year payback and lifetime savings projected at PHP 5.8 million.

The system delivers what it was designed for: reliable power for critical loads, reduced grid dependence, and a clear upgrade path when battery storage becomes the next priority.

For households where grid reliability cannot be assumed, solar power system design starts with what the home actually needs to keep running, not with what looks good on a spec sheet.
