Kape Hotel
- Hotel Rooftop Solar Power
- System Size: 152.20 kWp
- Completion: 6-Aug-2024
Project Summary
Kape Hotel’s 152.2 kWp system in Balintawak uses east- and west-facing arrays to spread generation across more of the working day. Morning laundry and kitchen demand give way to heavier afternoon cooling, so the shape of production matters alongside total output. This is the site-specific approach behind solar design for hotels and resorts: match generation to the property’s actual operating pattern. The installation serves daytime demand directly, while the hotel’s overnight requirements remain supplied by the grid.
The hotel operates around the clock. East-facing modules contribute earlier in the day, while west-facing modules extend useful generation into the afternoon cooling period. The installation operates behind a single meter and is principally a self-consumption system.
