Lotus
- Soap Manufacturing Facility
- System Size: 23.76 kWp
- Completion: 2-Apr-2017
- Las Pinas, NCR, Philippines
Project Summary
Lotus is a long-time manufacturer in Las Piñas, producing a wide range of household essentials, including washing soap, liquid soap, bleach, and cleaning products, which are consumed daily throughout the Philippines. A constant and reliable power supply is essential in such operations so that the production lines operate well and the quality is maintained at the same level. Rising energy costs gave solar a natural fit, but Lotus also decided to be the first company in the region to install bifacial solar panels atop its roof. These high-performance modules gather both sides of light, increasing yields and long-term stability. The system has already covered a significant portion of the plant’s electricity consumption, keeping costs under control and sustainable, while supporting Lotus’s image as a leader in the industry that has chosen to use clean and renewable energy.
