Oishi
- Food Manufacturing - Imus / Pasay (Multi Site)
- System Size: 616.70 kWp
- Completion: 6-Sep-2021
- Imus, Cavite, Philippines
Project Summary
Oishi is one of the Philippines’ most recognised food brands, and its Imus facility in Cavite is among the largest snack manufacturing operations in the country. Production runs continuously. Machines, packaging lines, refrigeration, and HVAC operate across multiple buildings around the clock, with a combined peak demand of 524.20 kW. The power requirement is not just large, it is uninterruptible.
Solaren completed the installation in three phases across multiple rooftops and connection points, each carefully sequenced to avoid disrupting active production lines. The engineering challenge extended beyond the panels. Multiple SMA Germany STP110-60 CORE2 inverters were deployed and integrated across the site, requiring compliance work across several grid connection points and coordination with the utility at each stage. Getting that right on a live manufacturing facility, without downtime, is where the complexity sits.
At 616.70 kWp, this is one of the largest installations in Solaren’s portfolio. The system now generates 909,633 kWh annually, delivering PHP 10 million in savings every year against a 3.5-year payback.
For large food manufacturers evaluating the economics, commercial solar panels at this scale change the cost structure of a facility permanently. Where multiple buildings and connection points are involved, commercial solar installation sequencing and utility compliance are as important as the hardware itself.
