RMCT
- Mixed-Use Commercial Building
- System Size: 19.62 kWp
- Completion: 23-Sep-2022
- Tarlac City, Philippines
Project Summary
Mixed-use commercial buildings in Philippine town centres run a broad and consistent load profile. At RMCT’s Tarlac City property, ground-floor retail, upper-level offices, storage areas, and workspace operations collectively draw on lighting, ventilation, refrigeration, and computing equipment throughout the working day. That consistency is exactly what makes a site like this well-suited to solar, the generation curve and the consumption curve align closely, and surplus export is minimal.
Three SMA Germany SB6.0 inverters distribute the generation load cleanly across the 19.62 kWp array, with Sunova Solar bifacial modules selected for their output performance on a rooftop exposed to direct Tarlac sun. Monitoring runs continuously through SMA ennexOS, giving the building owner full visibility without any manual intervention.
The system generates 28,940 kWh annually against a peak load of 16.68 kW. At a 3.0-year payback this is one of the stronger returns in Solaren’s commercial portfolio, reflecting both the scale of daytime consumption and the consistency of the load. Annual savings run at PHP 318,335 with lifetime savings projected at PHP 8.2 million.
For mixed-use building owners managing multiple tenants and varied load types, commercial solar panels deliver the most predictable return where daytime consumption is steady rather than intermittent.
