S&J Hardware Plus

Project Summary

Naga City proved to be one of the most efficient operating environments Solaren has worked in. Permitting and approvals moved at a pace that is genuinely unusual in the Philippine solar market, and net metering was processed without the delays that routinely cost clients weeks of credits elsewhere. For S&J Hardware Plus, that efficiency translated directly into earlier savings and a cleaner project timeline.

The facility itself is a natural solar candidate. A large warehouse and retail operation running continuous lighting, ventilation, inventory handling, and office systems across a wide roof area creates exactly the kind of steady daytime load that a 99.98 kWp array offsets most effectively. The SMA Germany STP110-60 CORE2 inverter was specified for its proven performance at this scale, with Sunova Solar bifacial modules and continuous SMA ennexOS monitoring completing the installation.

Annual generation of 147,471 kWh delivers PHP 1.62 million in savings per year against a 2.8-year payback, one of the stronger returns in Solaren’s commercial portfolio. Lifetime savings are projected at PHP 41.8 million.

For hardware and building supply businesses evaluating solar, commercial solar panels at this scale change the monthly cost structure permanently, and in a city like Naga where the regulatory process works as it should, the transition from approval to savings is faster than most clients expect.
