Sun Garden Hotel’s next stage addresses demand that its existing 99.98 kWp net-metered array cannot meet directly: busy evenings and event peaks after sunset. Solaren is developing battery storage for peak shaving, using Sunsynk equipment alongside the existing SMA solar system. Capacity is provisionally around 250 kWh, with the final specification still being assessed against the hotel’s load profile. This follows the approach described in sizing commercial solar battery storage, where the timing and duration of demand determine what the battery needs to deliver.
