Zen Hotel
- Hotel with Function Room Support
- System Size: 35.64 kWp
- Completion: 3-Jul-2016
Project Summary
The installation of the Zen Hotel demonstrates the possibility of solar being customized to suit the difficult operations of the hospitality industry. The project was distributed in multiple buildings, and thus, the optimization of the roof area and electrical connection needed to be organized with a high level of care so that they could provide consistent performance. The hotel has a guest facility and a busy restaurant, which means there is a constant air conditioning load and a heavy and constant daytime load. This pattern of constant consumption meant that almost all solar generation will be self-consumed, making the use of maximum financial gain. The system was designed to provide the hotel with all the compliance requirements, such as net metering, which provided the hotel with both immediate cost-cutting and long-term stability against the increasing electricity tariffs. In the case of Zen Hotel, the solar has become a strategic asset, which reduces the operating costs and sustains the environmental friendly operations of the various business functions.
