Tañedo Poultry Farm
- Mid-Sized Poultry Operations Solar Array
- System Size: 99.75 kWp
- Completion: 4-Jul-2024
- San Jose, Tarlac, Philippines
Project Summary
Tañedo’s setup is straightforward. Fans, cooling pads, and lighting drive the bill during the day. The farm did not need storage. It required a grid-tied system that operates most efficiently when the sun is at its highest. Roofs were assessed for shade, strings were grouped by uniform tilt and azimuth, and conductor sizes were chosen to keep voltage rise in check. The system now knocks down the midday bill and keeps conditions stable inside the barns. Net metering handles lighter days, so value is not lost. The gains are practical. Lower operating costs, better planning of feed and harvest schedules, and fewer surprises on the utility statement. For Tañedo, solar is not a headline. It is part of running a reliable farm that serves its buyers well throughout the year.
