Buena Chix Farm
- Integrated poultry farm with high energy demand
- System Size: 99.90 kWp
- Completion: 13-Mar-2026
Project Summary
Buena Chix Farm operates a 100kWp solar installation supporting a fully integrated poultry and hatchery facility where incubation chambers, broiler housing, layer systems, automated feeding lines, and mechanical ventilation operate on tightly controlled schedules. Electrical demand is concentrated during daytime production cycles, particularly across heating elements in incubation rooms and ventilation motors that regulate temperature and humidity. Because hatchery infrastructure is sensitive to voltage fluctuation and transient instability, inverter configuration and phase balancing were engineered to prioritize electrical consistency as well as financial return.
System sizing was based on measured daytime load curves rather than theoretical maximum capacity. This ensured that generation aligns with operational demand while avoiding unnecessary export oversizing. The structured load-matching methodology follows the agricultural planning framework described in Poultry Solar Systems, where production timing directly influences energy strategy.
The installation now functions as core production infrastructure. It protects sensitive hatchery operations, improves cost predictability, and provides scalable capacity should production volumes expand in future phases.
