- Completion: 18-May-2023
- Calamba, Laguna, Philippines
Project Summary
J. Poon Realty is the company affiliated with Atlantic Grains, which promotes one of the largest networks of food supply in the Philippines, assisted by extensive storage, processing, and distribution plants. The management of these operations will need a constant and large capacity of electricity to power the warehouses, conveyors, and handling systems, which could transport grain and other products to market effectively. Due to the escalating electricity prices, the company needed a sustainable solution that would not affect reliability. Solaren installed a grid-tied solar system that could be integrated with the already existing infrastructure without any inconvenience and would also satisfy the utility specifications for the operations of J. Poon. The system has now been able to offer a reliable source of daytime power, reducing the costs and enhancing long-term resiliency. For J. Poon Realty, the implementation of solar energy is a way to emphasize its dedication to efficient, sustainable businesses, as well as to play a critical role in the reliability of the transportation of vital food products to the entire country.
