Jorisan Farm
- Mid-scale Poultry Facility
- System Size: 140.00 kWp
- Completion: 3-Mar-2022
- Caba, La Union, Philippines
Project Summary
Jorisan Poultry Farm is part of a growing network of agricultural sites committed to reliable, sustainable chicken production. The farm incurred high power costs from fans, tunnel ventilation, and evaporative cooling pads, which run at their highest usage during the middle of the day. Solaren delivered a grid-tied solar system designed to match these loads, with string layouts planned to maximize roof space and reduce shading losses. Export controls were included to prevent costly backfeed issues, ensuring smooth compliance with the local utility. Since its commissioning, the system has consistently provided savings and dependable performance, even through seasonal variations in demand. For Jorisan, solar energy has been a practical investment: stabilizing costs, securing animal welfare, and reinforcing the farm’s long-term role as a trusted supplier to the local food chain.
