Kayrilaw
- Organic Farm - Off-Grid Solar and Storage Pilot
- System Size: 28.90 kWp
- Completion: 1-Jul-2022
Project Summary
Kayrilaw is an organic farm and agricultural nestled in the remote highlands between Nasugbu and Cavite where grid power is not regularly available and is erratic and unreliable. To ensure the continuity of operations, Solaren installed a complete system of hybrid solar with high-quality batteries, providing a steady supply of clean power to essential loads. The system helps busy administrative offices to coordinate deliveries and harvests, and in the preparation of cold storage and irrigation pumps, among other daily activities. The farm still works smoothly even when there are outages or when it is in bad grid conditions. Solar isn’t just about sustainability to Kayrilaw, but the foundation of a working mountain farm that is as much of a service to people and nature as it is to nature.
