Kings Orchard
- Organic Farm with Cold Storage
- System Size: 99.60 kWp
- Completion: 23-Aug-2024
Project Summary
Cold storage is unforgiving. For Kings Orchard in San Miguel, Bulacan, a high-producing organic fruit and vegetable farm supplying fresh produce to market, power reliability is not an operational preference. It is a product quality requirement. A grid interruption that compromises cold storage temperature doesn’t just cost electricity; it destroys inventory.
The 99.60kWp grid-tied system was sized around the farm’s peak daytime load across cooling, irrigation, processing, and administrative operations. SMA Germany STP25000-TL inverters paired with SolarWorld Germany modules handle the generation, monitored continuously via SMA ennexOS.
Critically, the system was pre-engineered for battery storage integration. As the farm’s cold storage requirements grow and grid reliability becomes more critical, the electrical architecture is already in place for a seamless storage upgrade without redesign.
For agricultural operations where produce quality depends on uninterrupted power, energy storage solutions represent the logical next step and for Kings Orchard, that step has already been planned into the system from day one. This is also one of the larger installations in Solaren’s industrial solar power systems portfolio, demonstrating what correctly specified equipment delivers across demanding agricultural environments.
