Kings Orchard
- Organic Farm with Cold Storage
- System Size: 99.60 kWp
- Completion: 23-Aug-2024
Project Summary
Kings Orchard is a high-producing and continuously producing fruit and vegetable farm located in San Miguel, Bulacan, where there is an increase in the demand for freshness and logistics. In addition to irrigation and fieldwork, the site features specialized cold storage facilities that store the harvested produce, ready for sale in the market. Solaren has a large grid-tied solar system installed with the size capability to sustain a large portion of daytime demand to guarantee sufficient power to meet the cooling, processing, and administrative work requirements. The system was designed to coincide with the peak activity hours of the farm and minimize the dependency on the grid, and also control the energy expenses. In the case of Kings Orchard, solar is essential in ensuring the quality of its crop, minimizing its operations, and providing fresher products to the market each and every day.
