Living Angels Christian Academy
- Christian Community Senior High School
- System Size: 99.90 kWp
- Completion: 1-Oct-2024
Project Summary
Running a senior high school serving underprivileged students means every peso of operational budget matters. For Living Angels Christian Academy in Baliwag, Bulacan, electricity costs were a direct drain on resources that should have been going toward teaching, student programs, and facility improvements.
The campus runs substantial daytime loads across classrooms, administrative areas, and shared facilities. At 84.92kW peak demand, the electricity bill was not a minor line item.
Solaren installed a 99.90kWp grid-tied system in October 2024, built around dual SMA Germany STP25000TL inverters and an SMA Core 1, paired with Sunova Solar bifacial modules and monitored via SMA ennexOS. The system generates 147,353kWh annually, covering the majority of the campus’s daytime consumption.
At ₱1,620,878 in annual savings and a 3.4-year payback, the numbers are compelling on their own. But for a school of this kind, the impact goes beyond the financial case. Savings that previously went to the utility now fund teaching tools, student activities, and campus improvements.
For institutions carrying a social mission on a constrained budget, commercial solar installation is one of the most direct ways to redirect money toward the people who need it most.
