Mooney Residence
- Hybrid Home System with Battery Storage
- System Size: 8.12 kWp
- Completion: 1-Apr-2025
- Hacienda Luisita, Philippines
Project Summary
The Mooney Residence sits on a prime golf course property and required a system that matched both the architectural standard and the lifestyle of its owner. The brief was clear: maximise performance, ensure seamless operation day and night, and support electric mobility without compromise.
A premium hybrid configuration was engineered using British inverters paired with bifacial glass-glass panels to increase yield and long-term durability. The system supplies daily household loads while also charging Mr. Mooney’s electric vehicle and golf cart, both used regularly within the estate. Load prioritisation and intelligent inverter programming ensure stable transitions between solar, battery, and grid, maintaining uninterrupted supply even during voltage instability.
Battery integration followed the same principles outlined in Energy Storage Solutions in the Philippines: What Businesses and Homeowners Need to Know, where storage is treated not as an accessory but as a core design element. The hybrid system captures excess daytime production, stores it efficiently, and deploys it during evening demand, reducing grid dependence while preserving performance reliability.
The result is a refined, technically disciplined installation that supports mobility, resilience, and long-term energy control in a high-end residential setting.
