Our Lady of Peace Seminary
- Religious seminary and educational institution for clergy formation
- System Size: 40.40 kWp
- Completion: 20-Nov-2024
Project Summary
Seminaries operate on donations and institutional budgets that don’t grow with electricity tariffs. For Our Lady of Peace Seminary in San Isidro, Tarlac City, running study halls, dormitories, and communal areas for a full residential community meant substantial monthly grid costs that were increasingly difficult to absorb.
Solaren installed a 40.40kWp grid-tied system in November 2024, built around four Sungrow SH10RS hybrid inverters and Sunova Solar bifacial modules, monitored via iSolar Cloud. The system is sized to cover the seminary’s 34.34kW peak load, generating 59,590kWh annually.
At ₱655,490 in annual savings and a 3.5-year payback, the financial case is clear. Resources that previously went to the utility now stay within the institution, directed toward formation, education, and pastoral training.
The seminary framed this as stewardship, responsible management of the resources entrusted to it. In practical terms, it is the same decision any budget-constrained institution eventually reaches: grid dependency is a cost that compounds every year, and commercial solar installation is the most reliable way to bring it under control.
