Romarosa
- Poultry Farm with Tunnel Ventilation
- System Size: 99.62 kWp
- Completion: 1-Jun-2023
- Tanay, Rizal, Philippines
Project Summary
Romarosa is a company that has large poultry houses whose health is dependent on the presence of airflow and controlled lighting. A fan, cooling pads, and controllers use a lot of power at the hottest times, and therefore, electricity can be an expensive cost. The farm implemented a grid-tied solar installation of the appropriate size to cover the daily demand, and the layout of the strings is to be performed in accordance with the lengthy, low-roof profile standard adjacent to the broiler houses. The outcome is clean power, which can sustain the ventilation and lighting load without interruption. The savings are used to reinvest in feed, biosecurity, and staff, which will keep them strong. On less productive days, net metering helps capture value. Romarosa reveals how a Philippine commercial poultry farm can reduce its operating expenses while maintaining stable conditions among flocks and remain focused on providing a steady supply to the local market.
