Sun City
- Hotel & Leisure Property - Solar Rooftop
- System Size: 51.10 kWp
- Completion: 6-Aug-2017
Project Summary
Sun City is a recreational hospitality destination where consistent power supply is essential to guest comfort, service quality, and daily operations. The property operates guest rooms, dining areas, swimming pools, event facilities, and back-office functions, creating high daytime electricity demand driven by cooling, lighting, and water pumping requirements.
Solaren designed and installed a rooftop solar power system sized to absorb the majority of this daytime load while operating unobtrusively within the existing buildings. The system supplies clean, steady power to core hotel functions without interruption, reducing dependence on the grid during peak hours and improving cost control without altering guest experience.
From the outset, the installation was engineered with future expansion in mind. With a long operating period now providing a clear and reliable energy profile, the site is preparing for the addition of battery storage. This next phase follows the same principles outlined in energy storage solutions for Philippine businesses, allowing night-time loads and peak demand to be managed more efficiently while optimising return on investment and preserving capital expenditure.
For guests, the transition is invisible. For owners, it delivers measurable savings, operational predictability, and a more sustainable approach to hospitality operations.
