Sun Garden Hotel
- Hotel - Events + Guest Rooms Hybrid
- System Size: 99.98 kWp
- Completion: 2-Feb-2024
Project Summary
The Sun Garden Hotel is a well-established hospitality destination in Tarlac City, known for modern guest rooms, attentive service, and a strong emphasis on comfort and sustainability. In addition to accommodation, the property operates event venues, swimming pools, and a growing range of amenities, including electric vehicle charging, all of which contribute to a demanding and varied electrical load profile.
Solaren designed and installed a grid-tied solar power system sized to support the hotel’s substantial daytime consumption, particularly for cooling, lighting, and shared guest facilities. The system integrates cleanly with hotel operations and helps reduce reliance on grid power during peak daytime periods, improving cost control without affecting guest experience.
Importantly, the solar installation was engineered with future expansion in mind. With operating data now fully established, the hotel is preparing to add battery storage to manage night-time loads more efficiently and shave peak demand. This measured approach follows the same principles described in energy storage solutions for Philippine businesses, allowing battery capacity to be sized precisely based on real operating data rather than assumptions.
The project reflects a long-term energy strategy where solar and storage work together to support reliable, efficient hospitality operations.
