OISHI Cebu
- Food Production, Manufacturing
- System Size: 719.80 kWp
- Completion: 22-Oct-2025
Project Summary
Large-scale food manufacturing runs on uninterrupted power. At Oishi’s Cebu plant in Liloan, cooking lines, packaging equipment, and refrigeration systems operate continuously across long production shifts, drawing over 600kW at peak. For a facility supplying snack products across the central and southern Visayas, any compromise on power reliability is not acceptable.
The electrical brief here went beyond solar installation. Power factor deficiencies were identified and rectified as part of the scope, bringing the facility’s electrical infrastructure to the standard required for a grid connection of this size. Utility compliance for a 719.80kWp interconnection in Cebu required persistent coordination and technical perseverance before approval was secured.
Solaren delivered both: a correctly engineered solar system and a compliant grid connection that many contractors would have walked away from.
Five SMA Germany STP110 CORE2 inverters paired with Sunova Solar bifacial modules now generate over one million kilowatt-hours annually, monitored continuously via SMA ennexOS.
For large manufacturers managing intensive energy demands, this project demonstrates what industrial solar power systems can deliver when the contractor has the technical depth and capability to handle the full electrical scope, not just the rooftop installation.
