Hatchery
- Poultry Hatchery & Breeding Solar Facility
- System Size: 100.21 kWp
- Completion: 16-Jul-2024
- Sta Ignacia, Tarlac, Philippines
Project Summary
The initial stage of an entire farm network is the hatchery. Chicks at an early stage require a tight tightness of temperatures and airflow and any power problem is manifested quickly. The daytime portion of the HVAC, circulation fans, and process controls were to be loaded on a grid-tied solar system. As reliability was the most important aspect, the design aimed to monitor and provide fast assistance, with inverters and clean cable paths easily accessible. The outcome is that there is reduced power base costs and reduced concerns about power at sensitive growth phases. Staff can concentrate on care and timing, rather than the next utility spike. The hatchery ensures that all downstream farms perform better by ensuring that the supply chain starts with stable and clean power. It is a minor change, but one that has a significant changes on the entire operation.
